About Gromain Lodge

  
Gromain is ideally situated being only 10 miles from Hay-on-Wye, 12 miles from Brecon and 8 miles from Builth Wells.
 
Originally built in 1927 as a Fishing Lodge for the Chicester Estate, Gromain has been completely renovated and refurbished to provide spacious, five bedroomed holiday accommodation for up to 10 people with spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons.
 
Set in a wooded garden, Gromain is perfectly located for those wishing to explore the local area and the multitude of activities available, or just to relax in the comfortable suroundings and enjoy the views.

 

 

Around and about the house:

  • Single storey lodge set in a large enclosed wooded garden with a flat lawned area and sloping woodland and orchard leading down to the main road. Garden furniture is provided.
  • Views of the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons.
  • Behind the bungalow are fields, and a rocky hillside. A footpath runs up the valley and eventually joins the Wye Valley path.
  • 1/4 mile from Erwood village, which has a shop and pub.
  • All new linen and towels provided.
  • Electricity and full oil central heating inclusive.
  • Mobile reception variable but there is a telephone with an Honesty Box and Wi-Fi connection.
  • On arrival visitors have a Welcome Pack with local produce.
  • Cot and high chair available.
  • Two well behaved pets welcome.
  • Ample parking.
  • Asda is currently the only supermarket which delivers to Gromain.
  • Undercover bicycle storage available in the old hen house.
